The Baldivis Children’s Forest (BCF)
is an area of 19.79ha located approximately 60km south of Perth in Baldivis, Western Australia.
It includes remnant tuart woodlands and a portion of the Conservation
Category wetland
Outridge
Swamp. In 2000 this site was chosen for revegetation activities
following concerns by local school children about the clearing of
bushland in the Baldivis district for housing.

The partnerships between the City of Rockingham, local schools and
community groups have grown since this time. The site is now the focus
for annual planting, Nyoongar cultural workshops, school activity days
and a capital works program. It provides the opportunity for children to
direct and be involved in the management of the site. We hope that BCF
will continue to provide a haven for flora and fauna, and be explored by
the community for both its educational and recreational values.
